Project Description

Technologists, Inc. executed this design/build/site-adapt project under the auspices of the US Army Corps of Engineers Afghanistan Engineer District (USACE AED.) Ground breaking began in November, 2010 and the site will be ready for the Afghan National Army (ANA) to occupy in November, 2011.

The project consists of site-adaptation, site and infrastructure design and construction of a new campus facility for the ANA 1-209th Brigade Headquarters—Garrision Support Unit (GSU) at Maymaneh in Faryab Province, Afghanistan. This ANA military post involves design and construction of over three dozen buildings and systems on a site of over 53,000 square meters.

The 209th Corps works closely with the German-led Regional Command North, and has its 1st Brigade at Mazar-i-Sharif and a second brigade forming at Kunduz. The corps is supported by the Mazar-i-Sharif Regional Support Squadron of the Afghan National Army Air Corps (ANAAC).
