Project Description

Upgrading security in Afghan facilities is an ongoing process, and Technologists, Inc. has provided design and build security measures to many sites throughout the country.

Ti has designed and constructed force protection entry control point security upgrades at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters, Qalaa House in Kabul, Afghanistan. The three entry control points were upgraded.

Security upgrades included:

  • Concrete blast walls around vehicle search areas
  • Security lighting
  • Surface-mounted hydraulic wedge barriers

An existing rolling passive arm barrier and steel gates were relocated, and a heavy blast-resistant steel rolling vehicle gates and pedestrian gates were installed as well. Ti designed and built a new main gate guard tower to oversee the vehicle search area and security lighting and interior night vision lighting, constructed a new 20' conex security building, and paved all parking areas.
