Technologists, Inc.’s energy consultation experts conducted studies to assist the Nangarhar Provincial Reconstruction Team in providing micro-hydro power plants to bring energy to remote mountain villages near mountain streams. System output will range from 10 to 30 kilowatts. The average Aghan home with two light bulbs and a TV consumes about 100 watts. Micro-hydro projects are simple to install and operate and are inexpensive and easy to sustain.
