Fall, 2011— Technologists, Inc.’s summer social for employees and their families was held on Friday, July 29, in Paghman, outside Kabul. This annual event recognizes both the exceptional teamwork and outstanding individual accomplishment that are essential to Ti’s success.
Nearly all of Ti’s divisions participated in the planning and execution of the day’s festivities—from logistics, life support, and purchasing to housekeeping, motor pool, and security. Despite strong rain showers and high winds that passed through Paghman the day before, Ti staff worked through the night to position the necessary tents, tables, and chairs, and to begin elaborate food preparation at the men”s and women’s socials held at nearby separate locations. Guests who arrived early socialized while playing cards, board games, and horseshoes. Later, everyone enjoyed a luncheon of grilled kebobs, rice, vegetables, sweets, and iced drinks.
Ti staff members enjoy great food, pleasant weather, and a sense of accomplishment at the 2011 summer social outside Kabul.
Following opening remarks by Malik Mortaza, vice president of operations, each of Ti’s division directors presented their respective team members with certificates of appreciation for outstanding performance in the past year. Recognized in absentia were hundreds of workers whose seven-day work schedules made it impossible for them to attend this year’s event. A total of 338 Ti employees received certificates—all of which were prepared, printed, and framed by Ti’s Capacity Building and Public Relations division in Kabul.
The presence of numerous children at the event served as a fitting reminder that Ti’s work in Afghanistan is truly an investment in the future.
