Technologists, Inc. Welcomes New Staff Members

Fall, 2011— Technologists, Inc. welcomed three new staff members in the Washington, D.C. area office in fall 2011, and also announced several staff promotions.

Thomas W. Skladony joined Ti as director of communications in August 2011. He will oversee Ti’s print and Web-based marketing and corporate branding, and will also assist Ti’s proposal development team. Mr. Skladony has three decades of experience as a researcher, writer, and editor in a number of policy-research institutes in Washington. He also spent two years (1996–1998) working to promote democracy in Slovakia. Mr. Skladony earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.

Esteban J. Deleón, Ti’s new information technology manager, assumes responsibility for all infrastructure development and technology. Dr. Deleón has 15 years of experience as an engineer, administrator, developer, and manager. He is also an education advocate who serves on the board of directors of a public charter school in Washington, D.C. Dr. Deleón earned his B.S. degree from Georgetown University, M.S. degree from the University of California/Berkeley, and Sc.D. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Sandy Ho joined Ti in September as a graphic designer. Ms. Ho is a 2010 graduate of James Madison University, where she worked as a marketing assistant on a variety of design projects. She will produce Ti’s print materials, including the newsletter and corporate brochures, and will also support the Ti Web team.

Lisa McQuail was promoted to proposal manager in August 2011. She will serve as Ti’s lead proposal writer, supervise additional writers and consultants, and manage the proposal process from inception to submittal.

Omar Azimi, Ti’s procurement officer, took on several additional responsibilities in October 2011. In addition to supporting the Kabul office with international procurement, Mr. Azimi will also research new opportunities for the business development team, prepare content for proposals, and help update and improve Ti’s Web site.
