Afghan National Army Khost Garrison Upgrades
Technologists, Inc. (Ti) completed numerous upgrades to the Afghan National Army (ANA) Garrison in Khost, a remote and mountainous Afghan province bordering Pakistan that is priority in ANA and NATO efforts.
Prior to construction, Ti prepared site and utility plans for the compound. In addition, Ti performed minor site demolition and grading.
Ti designed and constructed five arms storage and laundry facilities, a fitness center, Public Works building with storage yard, fire station, community center, and athletic track & field. All of these buildings included safety measures, electricity, plumbing, and HVAC.
Ti connected the finished facilities to the existing water distribution system, as well as the existing sanitary sewer collection and treatment system. Ti also ran electrical and communication wiring through all new buildings, linked them to the garrison central communications hub, and connected them to the existing power grid.
Lastly, Ti placed aggregate around all buildings to reduce erosion and provide dust control, and installed concrete walkways between buildings and parking areas.
The Construction Representative for the client stated, “This contractor was professional and always above the Afghan standard. This contractor was a pleasure to work with on a daily basis. I will highly recommend this contracting firm in the future for endeavors associated to Afghanistan Engineering District projects.”
