Afghan National Army Qalat Garrison Security Upgrades

Technologists, Inc. (Ti) performed security upgrades at the Afghan National Army (ANA) Qalat Garrison, in Zabul Province, Afghanistan, under a task order from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Ti secured the construction site with a temporary perimeter fence and entry-control point. The security upgrades included building a bunker system and secondary fighting positions between the guard towers and perimeter rock walls, and installing a perimeter lighting system.

Ti improved security at the main entrance by adding a drop gate, cable gate, speed bumps, visitor parking, and vehicle and personnel search areas.

Ti also built an aggregate-surface interior perimeter road with all-weather access to the guard towers, and reinforced the existing chain link perimeter fence with concertina wire at the base.
