Technologists, Inc. (Ti) performed the site-adapt, design, and construction of new headquarters for the Afghan National Civil Order Police (ANCOP) Patrol Unit and Urban Units in Herat province, Afghanistan.

Preliminary project work included design, site survey, master planning, unexploded ordnance (UXO) demining, and grading. In addition, upon completion of construction, Ti provided the client with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals.

Ti designed and built: an administration building with communications and arms rooms, barracks, logistics building, dining facility (DFAC), toilet, ablution, and shower building, laundry building, training facility, fuel storage and vehicle refuel point, ammunition supply point, and security features (guard shacks, gate house, guard towers, and perimeter protection wall).

Ti designed and built an off-site water well to provide for the complex’s water distribution system. Ti designed and built the electrical distribution system (with a 750 kw generator), and tied the system to the existing power grid. Ti also designed and constructed the entire road system and a paved parking area to accommodate 99 vehicles and 27 trailers. Finally, Ti graded a stormwater drainage system, including septic tank and leach field for the complex.
