Balkh Teachers College
Technologists, Inc. (Ti) partnered with Perez APC to repair and rehabilitate Balkh Teachers College in Mazar-i-Sharif. The college in northern Afghanistan trains future school teachers and also provides in-service training for experienced educators. The Ti-Perez team stepped in to complete a project that had been left unfinished by another contractor.
Ti completely repaired and restored the entire roof structure of the building and installed downspouts and drainage systems to prevent future leaks.
Other work performed at the facility included painting and plastering to remove water damage, correcting faulty wiring, installing fencing around fuel tanks, and connecting the building to the local electrical grid.
The project was part of a U.S. Agency for International Development program to improve teacher training in Afghanistan by providing new facilities and infrastructure.
