Gorimar Industrial Park

 

Technologists, Inc. (Ti) built the Gorimar Industrial Park, located 22 kilometers east of Mazar-i-Sharif, the largest city in northern Afghanistan. The main agricultural crops produced in the area include wheat, rice, corn, and sesame. Mazar-e-Sharif is also known for its cattle industry, leather production, and mining of gemstones.

 

The Gorimar Industrial Park is home to a printing press, soap factory, aluminum plant, wire factory, and numerous plastics firms, plus manufacturers of ice cream, iodized salt, and other food products.

 

The Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA) estimated in 2013 that this park had already created almost 6,000 direct and indirect jobs.
