Afghan Women’s Center

Technologists, Inc. (Ti) built the International Center for Afghan Women’s Economic Development on the new campus of the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) in Kabul. The Friends of the American University of Afghanistan, a U.S.-based nonprofit corporation, selected Ti to be the prime contractor on the $3.75 million project. Ti constructed the building at cost as part of the company’s commitment to women’s education in Afghanistan.

The Center is the new home of the U.S./Afghan Women’s Council plus several nongovernmental organizations and a university program focusing on women’s economic empowerment. It features state-of-the-art classrooms, offices, audio-visual facilities, a resource center, computer labs, and an auditorium.

This Ti project was described by the client as “the best building in Afghanistan.”
