Garrison Support Unit
Technologists, Inc. (Ti) designed and built a new campus for the Afghan National Army’s 1-209th Brigade Headquarters Garrison Support Unit at Maymaneh in Faryab Province, Afghanistan. The facility includes more than three dozen buildings and systems on a site of more than 53,000 square meters and is part of an extensive network of army bases stretching across northern Afghanistan.
Prior to construction, Ti performed a site survey and geotechnical investigations, removed all unexploded ordnance, demolished existing structures, and graded the site for proper drainage. Ti then built headquarters and administration buildings, a medical clinic, trash
collection points, dining facility, laundry, barracks and bunkers, ammunition and weapons storage, warehouse, and vehicle maintenance facility.
Ti also designed and built water-supply and sanitary-sewer systems, road network, entry-control points, and underground electrical generation and distribution systems. Force-protection measures included a guardhouse, guard towers, chain-link fencing, and gates.
