Guard Force Roadways and Helipad
Technologists, Inc. (Ti) designed and built asphalt roads, concrete sidewalks, aggregate parking areas, a parade ground, and a large helipad at the Guard Force Training Facility and Barracks, adjacent to the Pol-e-Charkhi Prison near Kabul, Afghanistan.
The compound includes both housing and advanced training facilities for a 350-man military police force.
Prior to construction, Ti completed a topographic survey and master plan, removed unexploded ordnance, demolished the existing guard towers, and graded the site for proper drainage.
Ti completed the facility with such force-protection measures as a perimeter stone wall and an entry-control point with barricades, gates, guard towers, and perimeter and exterior lighting.
