Border Police Headquarters

Technologists, Inc. (Ti) provided the design and construction of site improvements and facilities for the Afghan National Police border police battalion headquarters in Chamkani. The facility in Paktya province, southeast of Kabul near the border with Pakistan, supports approximately 100 police officers and other staff.

Prior to construction, Ti removed all unexploded ordnance, demolished and removed all existing structures, graded the site, and performed a geotechnical investigation. Ti then completed a topographic survey, leach-field testing, and water-well testing; and prepared the site for paving and utility installations.

Ti’s new construction included an administration building, barracks, logistics building, dining facility, shower and laundry buildings, a warehouse, and vehicle maintenance facility.

Ti developed all on-site utilities and infrastructure. This included a water system (with chlorination, ground well water source, pumps, and water storage tanks), sanitary sewer system (with septic tank and leach field), site electrical distribution system (with secure generator fuel storage), trash collection point, and aggregate walkways.

Ti also constructed force-protection measures consisting of masonry and stone perimeter walls, guard towers, and entry-control points.
