Arlington, Va.

Technologists, Inc. (Ti), an international engineering and management consulting company that works primarily in challenging and remote environments, has launched a new subsidiary company, Ti-Saudi Arabia. The company will be based in Riyadh and will offer a full range of engineering, management, and construction consulting services.

Ti-Saudi Arabia will undertake projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as Saudi-funded projects in other countries, including Afghanistan. The company will self-perform as a prime contractor and will also partner with select Saudi firms.

“Ti’s expansion into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a natural outgrowth of our success in Afghanistan and, more recently, in Haiti,” said Thomas H. Magness, Ti’s chief operating officer. Since entering Afghanistan in 2004, Ti has completed more than 50 projects valued at close to $300 million for a variety of military and civilian clients. An additional 16 projects valued at $256.6 million are currently underway.

“Ti-Saudi Arabia will have the full backing of Ti-Afghanistan and Ti’s Dubai procurement office,” Mr. Magness added, “but the greatest strength we bring to the Saudi market is our outstanding design, engineering, and project management capabilities.”

Ti’s project portfolio ranges from single buildings and roads to complex facilities with multiple buildings plus all associated infrastructure—water and wastewater systems, heating, electrical power generation and distribution, communications and Internet systems, trash collection, roads and parking areas, and interior and perimeter security systems.
