Jalalabad to Shali Kot Road

Technologists, Inc. (Ti) designed and constructed two sections of an asphalt road in the Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, with parts of these roadways being paved for the first time. Overall, Ti designed and constructed 30 kilometers of the road, including 51 culverts and one 27-meter bridge.

Ti completed a topographic survey of the route and designed roads 10 meters wide. The entire roadbed base structure was supported with 242,000 cubic meters of fill to ensure long wear. The completed road contained 46,500 cubic meters of asphalt.

Ti built public support for the project by organizing local information sessions that explained its long-term community benefits, including safer travel and more convenient access to markets, jobs, schools, and health clinics.
