Recently, a conference on “Sustainability Outreach in Developing Countries” was held at Kabul University in Kabul, Afghanistan. Including the direct participation of the University of the Ryukyus in Japan, the conference aimed to establish a global dialogue on Sustainability Outreach among scholars, researchers and field practitioners; and, a variety of experts presented at the three-day conference. The conference was held from November 16-19.

Ti’s President & CEO, Sayed Aziz Azimi, was the keynote speaker at the event. Though Mr. Azimi was not able to make it to the event personally, his paper, titled “Sustainable Development: Lessons and Opportunities for Afghanistan” was delivered at the conference by Mr. Najib Sabory, who is a professor with Kabul University’s School of Engineering. Mr. Azimi’s paper received a positive reception from the audience.
